Finding The Best OTC Acne Medicine

There are hundreds of alternative acne treatments on sale today which claim to clear your spots in no time at all and many Internet sites are filled with page after page of testimonials from satisfied customers. The problem however is that the best acne medicine for one person doesn't necessarily work for someone else. It doesn't matter what claims the people who sell alternative treatments make because the truth is that nobody knows whether or not a particular treatment will do you any good at all until you try it. In other words, for most of us, it's simply a case of hit and miss.

So if you do not want to go down the traditional acne treatment road, or have tried the antibiotics and topical treatments recommended by your dermatologist without success, what do you do?

The chances are that you know a number of people who have suffered from acne and cured it or who are suffering from it now and are in the process of curing it. If this is the case then your starting point might well be to simply pick their brains and learn from their experience. You can try some of the things which have worked for them because they could well also work for you, although treatments that work for one person do not always work for the next person.

If you do find something that works, remember that curing acne is normally a long slow process and treatment can become quite expensive. Products however vary widely in price and so you should find out what the active ingredients are in the treatment which is working for you and then shop around to see if you can find cheaper alternatives which contain the same active ingredients.

Proactive Acne Cream Treatment Many people believe that there is no really effective cure for acne and so the best answer is simply to do nothing and to let nature run its course and wait for your acne to disappear by itself. This is one solution but it is certainly not the best solution and without doubt a proactive acne cream treatment should be your first line of attack. Read more
