Can Aloe Vera Cure An Acne Scar?

In recent years Aloe Vera seems to have come to the fore as some sort of miracle cure for every condition you care to mention and appears today in just about any product you care to mention including soaps, shampoos and face washes. But can it really be used to cure an acne scar?

The simple answer to this question is that it depends who you talk to and often whether or not they are promoting a product which contains Aloe Vera.

There is no doubt that Aloe Vera does indeed have many beneficial properties and it is certainly an excellent skin care product which will benefit your skin whether or not you have acne scars. But, whether or not it will remove acne scars or not is a different matter.

Aloe Vera will certainly not remove moderate to severe scarring and is unlikely in these cases to make any appreciable difference at all. It is also doubtful that it will have any substantial effect when it comes to curing mild scarring, although it can certainly help to improve the overall condition and tone of your skin which, in turn, will help to make acne scars less visible by 'blending' them into the surrounding skin.

One important part of treating acne scars is to treat the healthy skin which surrounds an acne scar and in doing this most people would agree that Aloe Vera can be very effective.
