Finding A Cure For Rosacea Acne

Before deciding upon a cure for rosacea acne it is first necessary to decide whether or not acne is actually present as rosacea can often be confused with acne and can also co-exist alongside acne.

In other words, if you are suffering from rosacea then the red domed papules and pustules may be a result of the condition or may be the result of a separate case of acne which arises at the same time as your rosacea.

If you are simply suffering from rosacea then the first line of treatment is to look for things which trigger the condition and this means keeping a detailed diary of your day to day life and the state of your condition so that you can see if there are certain things which tend to trigger the condition and which you should therefore avoid.

Having done this, the next step is to follow a gentle cleansing regime being sure to stick to non-irritant cleansers and also to keep out of the sun, or to use a strong and again non-irritant sunscreen.

Papules, pustules and inflammation can then be often be relieved by oral antibiotics such as tetracycline and doxycycline or with topical antibiotics such as metronidazole. Inflammatory lesions and papules can also be treated using topical azelaic acid. In persistent cases Accutance, which is normally used for the treatment of severe acne, can also be used in low doses.

In cases where acne exists alongside rosacea then you should simply follow the normal treatment regime for acne as long as this does not conflict with the treatment being given for rosacea and will not otherwise exacerbate the condition.

Proactive Acne Cream Treatment Many people believe that there is no really effective cure for acne and so the best answer is simply to do nothing and to let nature run its course and wait for your acne to disappear by itself.
